Gerry Barrett’s seven companies were confirmed for examinership by the Court of Appeal on 4 October 2017.

Neil Hughes was confirmed as examiner to the firms, which include businesses connected to Galway’s G Hotel, Eye Cinema and Meyrick Hotel.

The court dismissed Deutsche Bank’s cross appeal and found the companies had a reasonable prospect of surviving as going concerns.
