Four men convicted over a €2.08 million robbery were remanded for sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 9 July 2018. The robbery involved a cash-in-transit van in Dublin, while the Richardson family were falsely imprisoned during the operation.

Niall Byrne was convicted of conspiracy to robbery, while Mark Farrelly, Christopher Corcoran and David Byrne were convicted of robbery and false imprisonment. The jury could not reach a majority verdict on a kidnapping charge against Byrne.

Following a sentence hearing, Judge Melanie Greally said she needed time to consider the cases and remanded the men in continuing custody until 16 July 2018 for sentence.
