Enda Holmes received a fully suspended sentence for harassment at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. He pleaded guilty to harassment within the State. The proceedings were reported on 16 June 2021.

The offence occurred between 29 March 2019 and 19 February 2020 and involved calls, messages and online material using a woman’s phone number and her daughter’s name.

Judge Melanie Greally imposed two-and-a-half years in prison, suspended in full, with no contact or approach within 1km of the woman’s home or workplace for 10 years.

The prosecution accepted there were no direct threats of physical violence, while the defence said Holmes’s health was background, not an excuse or defence.
