This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Eight Dublin men have pleaded not guilty to IRA membership charges at the Special Criminal Court, with the trial continuing on 29 January 2015.

The prosecution said Garda National Surveillance Unit officers observed the men in Finglas and Clondalkin on 29 March 2013 before their arrests at a used car sales lot.

The public was excluded while NSU members gave evidence, and the court ordered that six officers must not be identified. The trial was continuing.

This case may have concluded differently. The outcome has not yet been confirmed by a public source we could find.
