Edward McGrath, Dean Evans and Sharif Kelly remained charged with murdering Peter Butterly after the Special Criminal Court ruled on trial arrangements reported on 16 October 2014.

The court excluded the public while National Surveillance Unit gardaí gave evidence, while restricting publication of their names and addresses.

The court also ordered disclosure of specified information concerning prosecution witness David Cullen, including confirmation of whether he had previously been a garda informant.
