A Dublin man was jailed when Dublin Circuit Criminal Court activated the remainder of his 18-month sentence on 4 July 2018 for breaching an order prohibiting interaction with children.
The sentence had been imposed after he admitted contravening the order on 11 August 2016. The court had suspended the balance on conditions including compliance with the Probation Service and abstinence from non-prescription intoxicants.
Judge Patricia Ryan activated the remainder after finding that he had breached the conditions of his release. The man cannot be named by court order and has two previous convictions for sexual assault on juveniles.
