Clarion Quay dispute fast-tracked in Commercial Court

By Orla Quinn

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

A legal dispute over the unfinished Clarion Quay development was admitted to the fast-track Commercial Court by Mr Justice Robert Haughton on 3 December 2018. The Dublin docklands development contains 184 residential units and nine retail units.

Clarion Quay Development Management Company claims the works were not properly completed and estimates remedial costs at €14 million, including fire-safety work. The defendants deny the claims and say the action is misconceived; the case and related actions were due to return before the court later that month.
