Most residents had left Apollo House in Dublin, but one person remained, the High Court heard on 12 January 2017.
Mr Justice Paul Gilligan had been told that morning that the occupation had ended and all homeless residents had left. That afternoon, Michael Lynn SC, acting for members of Home Sweet Home, said one person remained inside.
Michael Lynn said gardaí were dealing with the matter and had asked that removal of materials pause until the building was fully vacated. The report said the remaining person was expected to leave soon.
The report said occupiers had moved the majority of homeless residents into independently sourced accommodation that morning. Those leaving were complying reluctantly with a court order to vacate the building.
Rossa Fanning SC, representing the Nama-appointed receivers, welcomed news of the departures. He said his clients still needed to verify that the occupation had ended and had not yet been able to retake possession. They were willing to assist an orderly wind-down.
Earlier, at the request of Rossa Fanning, Mr Justice Paul Gilligan had adjourned the matter until 2pm for an update on progress towards ending the occupation.
