Apollo House occupation case ends as High Court strikes it out

By Cathal Brosnan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The Apollo House occupation proceedings were struck out by the High Court with no order on 3 February 2017. The action concerned the occupation of a building in Dublin city centre and alleged illegal trespass. The court was told that furniture, beds and other property brought into the building had been removed.

The occupation had provided accommodation to homeless people through the Home Sweet Home coalition. The residents had left by 12 January, after an injunction requiring them to leave and the refusal of an application to extend the deadline.
