This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Adam Doyle received an 18-month sentence, suspended in full, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court; the proceedings were reported on 4 December 2024.

Doyle pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to Evan Somers on Dublin’s Dame Street on 10 April 2022.

Judge Orla Crowe ordered Doyle to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for two years, and hand over €13,000.

The report said Doyle handed himself in after seeing CCTV footage of the assault on Crimecall, broadcast in October 2023.

Doyle denied any homophobic element, while accepting full responsibility for the injuries; his defence also cited his lack of previous convictions and low reoffending risk.
