The Labour Court recommended that First Circle Group workers accept an overtime rate of time plus one third, backdated to 16 February 2023. It also recommended good-faith discussions about the rate in September. The recommendation was dated 23 May 2023. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought time and a half for Saturday or first-rest-day overtime and double time for Sunday or second-rest-day overtime. First Circle Group said it could not fund those rates and offered time plus one third with a later review. The court recommended that the parties discuss the rate again in September.
