The Labour Court recommended a 45-cent-per-hour pay increase for eight security officers employed by Bidvest Noonan at the Law Library site, backdated to 29 August 2022. The recommendation, signed on 29 March 2023, also rejected retrospective payment of the 40-cent increase introduced in December 2021. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought the increases and a €2-per-hour site allowance for additional duties. The Court recommended further engagement between the parties, with WRC assistance if needed, to try to agree pay for additional work. It did not recommend the requested €2 allowance as a direct payment.
