The Labour Court recommended that a worker accept Kerry Foods PLC T/A Kerry Foods’ offer to appoint a manager from another site to investigate the worker’s bullying complaint. The recommendation was signed on 25 July 2016. The worker was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The worker argued that all the company’s managers had a conflict of interest and sought an independent investigator. The Court said the worker had given no sound basis for that view. It found the delay in investigating the complaint unsatisfactory, linked it to the failure to agree on an investigator, and considered the company’s offer reasonable.
