The Labour Court rejected the NBRU Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim to exclude single certified sick days from Dublin Bus’s self-certification allowance. The scheme had counted each single certified sick day as one of the self-certified days since 1988. The union sought a change, while Dublin Bus said any single day of absence counted under the scheme, whether medically certified or self-certified. The Court said no argument had been made at the hearing to justify the proposed change. The recommendation was signed on 23 December 2015.
