The Labour Court recommended phased pay increases for warehouse operative staff at United Drug following a pay claim by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and Unite. The recommendation was dated 22 December 2015. For employees hired before 2009, it recommended three annual 2% increases from 1 October 2015, with the arrangement to expire on 30 September 2018. For employees hired from 2009, it recommended hourly rates of €9.50 from 1 October 2015, €9.95 from 1 October 2016 and €10.50 from 1 October 2017, also expiring on 30 September 2018. The Court did not recommend incorporating flexi-payments or service pay into basic pay. The recommendation was made under the Industrial Relations Act.
