The Labour Court recommended double time for Sunday work and time and a quarter for early morning starts at St Vincents Private Hospital. The recommendation, signed on 2 February 2015, followed a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over the Sunday overtime rate and related premiums. The hospital had proposed reducing Sunday overtime from treble to double time. The union said workers accepted alignment with public service pay and sought the early shift allowance and regrading. The Court said Sunday and early morning premiums could not be considered separately. It made no recommendation on the grading issue.
