The Labour Court recommended that Kepak Group pay the 10 Workers severance of four weeks’ pay per year of service, inclusive of statutory entitlements. The recommendation was signed on 23 December 2010. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union represented the workers and said they were receiving less than their statutory entitlements. The Court considered the union’s submissions; the company did not attend the hearing.
