The Labour Court recommended that the Voluntary Drug Treatment Network concede a worker’s claim for enhanced redundancy of three weeks’ pay per year of service, exclusive of statutory terms. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 2010. The union argued that the worker should receive terms comparable to those in similar organisations. The network said financial constraints meant it could pay only statutory redundancy. The Court said the employer and union should jointly approach the Department for funding to implement the recommendation.
