Labour Court recommends long-service pay point for Royal College of Surgeons staff

The Labour Court recommended an additional long-service point on the Role B scale for secretarial staff at the Royal College of Surgeons, following a pay and grading dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The point would be €40,467 after three years at the €39,027 scale maximum. The Court said the employer’s proposals should generally stand, while progress onto the old Grade 4 scale remained dependent on a vacancy. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 2008.
