The Labour Court recommended one-off goodwill payments by Tesco Ireland of €17 for employees entitled to the basic 3% bonus and €28 for those entitled to the full 5% bonus for 2007/08. The dispute was brought by Mandate and also concerned working-hour bands for Stamp 2 employees. The Court said the bonus scheme did not clearly state which date was used to calculate the bonus, and recommended that Tesco clarify it in a revised booklet. It also recommended assimilating covered Stamp 2 employees in the same way as other employees. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 2008.
