The Labour Court did not support a worker’s claim for the voluntary redundancy package at Stripes Support Services Limited Trading As Kammac Support Services. In a recommendation dated 23 October 2008, it found he had told his manager he was interested but had not applied in line with the offer’s process. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the worker was on sick leave while applications were invited and had not been told the requirements or deadline, despite expressing interest. The company said scheme details had been posted and applications had to be made in writing by a set date. The Court did not recommend applying the package to him.
