Labour Court declines to reopen worker’s €2,750 course payment claim

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court declined to reopen a worker’s €2,750 claim for taking a core-care skills course at Tallaght Hospital. In its recommendation signed on 11 April 2008, it said an independent arbitrator had finally dealt with the payment issue. The worker said she had been led to believe the course would be recognised worldwide, but it was recognised only at Tallaght Hospital. The Court again recommended that the hospital take necessary measures to secure proper accreditation, either for the course already completed or through upskilling.
