The Labour Court recommended conceding in full the Irish Nurses Organisation's claim for a night duty premium for nurses in the renal unit at Letterkenny General Hospital, under a local arrangement. The recommendation was signed on 31 July 2007. The union said nurses working after 8pm were accommodating the service and received less than staff on night duty. The Health Service Executive - West said they were not rostered for night duty and already received an unsocial-hours premium. The Court cited the twilight shift's unsocial hours and a similar payment arrangement elsewhere in the hospital.
