The Labour Court recommended that Iarnrod Eireann pay two supervisors €650 each for disturbance caused by work in the Central Traffic Control Room at Connolly station. The recommendation was signed on 28 December 2006. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought €1,250 each, saying signal-persons had received that amount. Management rejected the claim, saying supervisors had different duties and could leave the building for other work. The Court based its recommendation on the supervisors' close proximity to the signal-person grade and said it should not be relied upon as a basis for claims by other grades.
