The Labour Court recommended that Pat Donovan concede Two Workers’ claims relating to pay, hours, holidays and accommodation deductions. The workers sought premium pay for hours above 39 a week, trade rates of pay, correct annual and public-holiday entitlements, and a lower deduction for accommodation. The Court considered the claims reasonable, noting that some holiday entitlements were well founded and that the employer had offered reparation but not yet provided it. It considered €54.13 a week an appropriate deduction for board and lodging, and the claim for premium pay above 39 hours reasonable. The recommendation was signed on 24 November 2006.
