The Labour Court recommended that Johnston, Mooney & O'Brien provide contract particulars, introduce a pension scheme with 5% contributions from employer and employee, and provide a conditional sick pay scheme. It also recommended overtime after 39 hours, a €16.50 shift payment from 1 April 2006 and specified Sunday premiums. The Court found that statutory requirements for investigating the dispute were met. It did not recommend the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claims for service recognition or a Christmas bonus. The recommendation was dated 19 January 2006.
