The Labour Court recommended that Galco Steel Limited pay €250 to each claimant in full and final settlement of a dispute over deductions from its gainsharing scheme. It noted that the 2003 amendment was made without negotiation and mutual agreement. The union said the change breached the agreement and claimed about €500 per worker; the company estimated the loss at about €150 per worker. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union brought the dispute. The recommendation was dated 16 January 2006.
