The Labour Court recommended that the Brothers Of Charity and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union work out staffing requirements for transferring social care staff from residential to community services. It said the solution should cover duties without requiring staff to remain at work an extra 100 hours a month, then recommended that the parties jointly approach the HSE. The dispute also concerned whether sleepovers should be part of the workers’ rosters. The recommendation was signed on 30 November 2005.
