The Labour Court did not recommend Teagasc concede a worker’s claim to move from Clerical Grade 2 to Clerical Grade 3. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said she had replaced a Grade 3 post holder and sought regrading back to 1998. Teagasc relied on external reviews in 1989 and 1996 that graded the post at Grade 2. The Court accepted the worker had entered a Grade 3 post in 1987, but noted the two reviews had since assessed it at Grade 2. The recommendation was signed on 23 March 2004.
