The Labour Court recommended that Wyeth Nutritionals and the Supervisory Representative Group acknowledge that a valid agreement provided for the supervisors’ claimed pay amounts, while recognising that local management could not fully implement it at the time. The recommendation was dated 9 March 2004. The dispute concerned a 5% cost-of-living increase agreed for 2003. The group said supervisors had received only 4%, after the company cited a parent-company salary freeze. Wyeth Nutritionals said Irish management had secured an exemption allowing the 4% increase. The Court recommended a local review within six months and every six months after that. If unresolved after 18 months, the matter could return to the Court for a definitive recommendation.
