In 2000, the Labour Court did not recommend restoring plus pay for four sales representatives in a dispute between Irish Distillers Limited and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court said the employees had been told the payment would not apply when they transferred to Irish Distillers Limited, which had ended plus pay for staff joining since 1998. The recommendation was signed on 5 December 2000.
