In 2000, the Labour Court recommended a £2,000 gross cooperation payment for two fishery managers transferring to the Western Regional Fisheries Board, alongside retrospection due under a restructuring agreement. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought changes to the proposed job descriptions and compensation for additional hours. The Central Fisheries Board said the transfer and reporting arrangements were covered by an earlier agreement. The Court recommended that the work and reporting arrangement start immediately, with an independent job assessment after 12 months. It did not recommend financial compensation for untaken time off, saying responsibility for controlling the arrangement lay with both the Board and managers. Instead, it recommended one-off additional leave of 10 days for Mr S and eight days for Mr H, with timing to be agreed with the Assistant Chief Executive. The recommendation was signed on 29 February 2000.
