Labour Court recommends £4,000 settlement for four Coca Cola dispatch workers

The Labour Court recommended that Coca Cola Bottlers Ireland Limited pay £4,000 in full and final settlement of a dispute over retrospective overtime pay for four dispatch workers. The recommendation, dated 7 December 1998, left distribution of the money to the union and claimants. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought the difference between time-and-a-half and double-time pay for early-start overtime from June 1994 to March 1996. The Court said it had received conflicting accounts and could not determine which was correct.
