The Labour Court recommended that a Teagasc worker accept the outcome of the union ballot on pay negotiations under the Programme for Competitiveness and Work. The recommendation was dated 5 March 1998. The worker argued that she had maintained pay parity with Local Authority Grade 5 and should move to the higher Grade 3 scale. Teagasc said pay adjustments were determined through collective agreements. The Court found no basis for treating her increase differently from those agreements.
