Labour Court urges Forbairt and laboratory attendant to work amicably until retirement

The Labour Court recommended that Forbairt and a laboratory attendant work together amicably until his expected retirement in January 1998. The recommendation was signed on 12 November 1997. The worker complained of unfair treatment and removal from the overtime list for 12 months. Forbairt rejected his claim, citing disciplinary issues and management difficulties, and sought his immediate retirement. The Court said there had been strains in the relationship and considered an amicable effort until his retirement the best way to resolve the case.
