Labour Court recommends Swords Credit Union adopt proposed pay scale for two employees

The Labour Court recommended that Swords Credit Union apply its proposed pay structure to two employees from July 1996, after a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The recommendation was signed on 23 December 1996. The union had sought a higher salary scale and said one employee was performing the office manager role. The Court accepted the credit union could recruit a manager but expected it to give due consideration to internal applicants’ experience. It recommended that the union accept the Board’s proposed scale and that the two employees be placed on it from July 1996.
