In 1991, the Labour Court rejected a claim by Manufacturing Science And Finance on behalf of a designer draughtsman transferred from Merrion Street to the Belfield Campus. The union argued he should have been included in payments made to 31 technicians after the move, saying he helped relocate equipment and faced longer, more costly travel. University College Dublin opposed extending the payments. The Court found no grounds to extend them to the worker. The recommendation was dated 4 March 1991.
