In 1991, the Labour Court did not recommend granting the Irish Nurses Organisation's claim for higher salaries for Regional Organisers. It recommended retaining their relationship with nursing grades while reducing the scale to nine points, effective from 1 July 1990, and specified assimilation points for five claimants. The Court considered the existing scale too long in view of salaries in the area. The parties were the Irish Nurses Organisation and Amalgamated Transport And General Workers Union. The recommendation was signed on 25 January 1991.
