The Labour Court recommended that Power Supermarkets Limited and the Irish National Union Of Vintners' Grocers' and Allied Trades Assistants discuss the ratio of part-time to full-time staff across the company’s outlets. The union sought restoration of the 1984 agreement’s ratio and asked for 13 part-time staff at the Artane Castle branch to become full-time. The Court called for the discussions to begin immediately and reach agreement before 30 October 1990, offering assistance if the parties could not agree. The recommendation was signed on 5 September 1990.
