The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for compensation beyond statutory redundancy for two C.P. Security Limited workers. The recommendation was signed on 3 September 1990. The dispute followed the winding down of the company’s motorphone operation. One worker found other employment; the other declined an offer of day work in the Control Room. The Court concluded that neither qualified for a severance payment.
