Labour Court does not recommend conceding union’s extra-leave claim against Dunnes Stores

Labour Court ·

In 1989, the Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Irish Distributive and Administrative Trade Union’s claim against Dunnes Stores (Georges Street) Limited for an extra day’s leave. The recommendation was signed on 14 July 1989. The union sought the leave after the store extended its opening hours on one occasion in December 1988. The Court concluded it would not be reasonable to apply all the late-night trading agreement’s terms to a single occasion.
