Labour Court recommends non-participating bonus for Dublin Bus conductors

Historic decision · Decision date:

Place: no local area assigned from the source.

The Labour Court recommended that Dublin Bus pay the non-participating bonus to conductors recruited after January 1986. Its recommendation was signed on 21 December 1988. Dublin Bus said the allowance applied only to staff employed when the one-person operation agreement was made. The Irish Transport And General Workers' Union argued that the terms applied to new staff unless stated otherwise. The Court found no justification in the agreement for excluding the conductors.
