The Labour Court accepted C.B. Packaging Limited’s decision to dismiss two production supervisors and did not recommend reinstatement. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 1987. The Court said a high proportion of faulty material had passed through the system and found that the supervisors had negligently failed to carry out their duties despite knowing the company’s quality standards. The Irish Transport and General Workers' Union (Dublin No. 2 Branch) represented the workers.
