Labour Court recommends union accept Glassform safety records offer

The Labour Court recommended that the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union accept Glassform Limited’s offer to provide past and future Factory Inspector reports and Safety Committee minutes. The recommendation was signed on 8 December 1986. The dispute followed Glassform’s refusal to let the union’s health and safety officer visit its plant in Graignamanagh, Co Kilkenny. The company cited machinery confidentiality and the role of its safety committee, while the union said access would help represent workers on safety matters.
