The WRC recommended that a security company pay a worker €1,000 for lost pay after workplace incidents involving a colleague. The recommendation was dated 20 August 2026. The worker said a colleague tried to kiss her, later put up posters she found offensive and was in her work area in February 2026 despite her request not to share a room. She said the employer did not tell her about an investigation or its findings. The employer said it separated the pair, arranged a meeting and apology, investigated the later concerns and found the posters were maintenance reminders. The adjudicator found the employer acted reasonably, that the initial incident was handled informally and that later events did not merit a formal investigation. The worker was found credible about the impact on her and received the recommendation for loss of pay.
