WRC makes no recommendation in embassy worker’s bullying dispute

The WRC made no recommendation in a dispute between a locally recruited receptionist and consular support officer and An Embassy, saying it was premature to intervene while the employer’s grievance process and external investigation remained ongoing. The recommendation was dated 26 June 2026. The worker alleged bullying and harassment after a confrontation with a supervisor on 7 August 2025 and challenged how her grievance was handled. An Embassy disputed her account and said it had started a grievance process and commissioned an external investigation. The officer found a fundamental dispute about what happened and whether the conduct amounted to bullying or harassment. The internal process had not concluded, so the WRC did not make a recommendation on the substantive allegations.
