The WRC recommended that a health sector employer pay a worker €2,000 after leaving her grievance unresolved for more than 25 months. The recommendation was dated 29 June 2026.
The worker said she lodged the grievance in May 2024. The employer said it was part of a disciplinary process, but its representative could not find correspondence telling her that.
The adjudication officer found that the employer had not followed the agreed procedure or told the worker it was varying it. The WRC also recommended that the employer update her promptly and complete the grievance process under the agreed procedure.
