The Workplace Relations Commission made no recommendation in a dispute between an Adult Educator and An Education and Training Board over her contract and course hours. In a decision dated 17 February 2026, the adjudication officer said the worker had not exhausted the employer’s grievance procedure before referring the dispute. She claimed about €6,000 in losses from cancelled or shortened courses and unpaid arrears. The board said it had honoured her contractual hours and that additional hours were not guaranteed. The officer noted that she had entered the new contract voluntarily and that discussions over some terms were ongoing. The worker acknowledged that she had not used the grievance procedure.
