The WRC made no recommendation in a health service clerical officer’s favour on three issues she raised about her disciplinary process. The decision was dated 23 July 2025. The worker challenged the failure to provide a written complaint, limits on her choice of representative and the appeal decision maker’s failure to listen to a meeting recording. The adjudication officer found she had enough information about the allegation, that the employer could limit representation to a union representative or work colleague, and that she had not submitted her own recording to the appeal decision maker. The officer recommended that the health service clarify in its written procedures that a warning’s nine-month period continues during an appeal. The worker also withdrew two employment legislation complaints at the hearing.
