The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a food company pay a store manager €1,950 after finding his termination unfair and lacking a fair process. The recommendation was dated 22 May 2025. The worker said he raised operational and safety concerns, developed wrist pain and did not resign. The company said he had indicated he wished to resign and had not raised a grievance while employed. The adjudication officer found the worker credible and the company's account of a resignation implausible in light of the sequence of events. The officer found that the worker had not been afforded fair procedures and recommended compensation under the Industrial Relations Act 1969.
